The SolidFire storage system was architected from the ground up to deliver guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS) across multiple volumes in large-scale cloud infrastructures.  Each SolidFire storage node is delivered as a self-contained storage appliances that when combined function in a distributed cluster architecture. 

SolidFire storage systems are assembled through the combination of multiple storage nodes over a 10GB iSCSI Ethernet network.

Reaching cloud scale with a SolidFire system is as simple and efficient as adding new nodes as performance or capacity demands dictate. The SolidFire primary storage solution scales to 100 nodes, 2 PB of capacity, and can deliver QoS to more than 100,000 tenant volumes hosted within a single cluster. At 50,000 IOPS per node, even the smallest deployments erase the server vs. storage I/O gap that has existed for years.
