Senior Software Engineer (Boulder, CO)
SolidFire is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. The primary responsibility of the Senior Software Engineer is to enhance and develop new features for our low latency and extremely high performance distributed data storage system. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years experience in C/C++ with a storage background and/or experience in multithreading and distributed systems. In addition to technical skills, we are looking for someone who is interested in working in a collaborative, fast paced, high energy startup environment. Requirements:

Web UI Engineer, Contract (Boulder, CO)
SolidFire is looking for a rock star Web UI Engineer to assist in making improvements and upgrades to our existing customer facing UI. This is a contract position with a flexible work schedule, including the option to work remotely. This person must be available to report to our office in downtown Boulder, CO on occasion to collaborate with other team members and departments. The primary responsibilities of this position includes requirements gathering, design mapping, creating/presenting mockups, production, and finally production/launch and maintenance. The ideal candidate is excited to be a part of a growing team in a fast paced, challenging, and most importantly fun, work environment.
Other Responsibilities include:
- Enhancing our web UI with slick new features
- Creatively addressing usability design challenges
- Collaborating with other departments including Product Management, Software Engineering, QA and Marketing

Requirements:
- 2-5 Years' experience developing user interfaces
- Excellent understanding of usability design
- Proven ability to communicate effectively

Software QA Engineer (Boulder, CO)
Our QA group is looking for an accomplished and passionate Software QA Engineer. This is a key role for impacting the overall quality of a new cloud storage product. In this fast paced start-up environment you have the opportunity to work on advanced software and will be expected to show initiative and passion on a daily basis by helping shape the functions and processes of the QA organization.
As a Software QA engineer,your responsibilities include:
- Formulation of test plans and test strategies
- Test automation development
- Perform highly structured manual and automated tests
- Assist development engineers in fault isolation, root cause analysis of failures and resolution
- Bug reporting and tracking
- Providing test status and detailed test reports
Requirements:
- Experience working in a QA team environment delivering high quality software
- Experience writing and executing complex system level test plans, test cases and test reports
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, Xen
- Strong knowledge of storage and networking technologies
- Must have excellent analytical skills and be able to debug complex system problems
- Experience working with Linux or Unix is highly desirable
- Scripting skills in Python and/or Perl is a plus
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously

QA Automation Engineer (Boulder, CO)
SolidFire is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer who is passionate about developing innovative automated testing solutions for our state-of-the-art cloud storage solution. The candidate should be self-driven, with a strong background in Python programming and test automation frameworks. The primary responsibility of the candidate will be to work closely with both QA and Development teams to design and create a unified test automation framework that will be used across all levels of the R&D organization.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a reliable, scalable and maintainable test automation framework
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with the QA and Development teams to develop automation processes and plans
- Develop detailed automated tests from test plans, test cases and functional specs
- Diagnose, debug and perform root-cause analysis of issues and defects
- Actively participate in test planning discussions to assure automation coverage is continuously improving
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience developing complex test automation and scripts using Python
- 5+ years of software development and/or quality engineering experience
- Solid programming experience in Python is a must
- Experience with Linux is a must, any other OS is a plus
- Storage domain expertise is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Track record of being a key contributor in successful projects
