Tier 3 Support Engineer (Boulder, CO)
As a member of the SolidFire technical support team, the Tier-3 Engineer will support both hardware and software products for SolidFire end-users. This position is responsible for working Customer Support Cases logged by SolidFire's Customer base via phone and ticketing system. The Tier-3 Technical Support Engineer position will require interaction with Customers and prospective Customers both on the phone and via email. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, and most importantly, good troubleshooting skills at the network and Linux OS levels. The candidate will also have organizational and professional skills to deliver the highest level of response to the customer.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Respond to post-sales Customer support issues. The Tier-3 Support Engineer may be asked to handle the support duties after business hours and over weekends and holidays.
- Collect pertinent information from Customers to resolve cases.
- Provide onsite installation services for proof-of-concepts, trials, or Customer purchases.
- Provide remote support diagnostics and troubleshooting for Customer issues.
- Technical troubleshooting of network storage solution issues and SolidFire product issues.
- Document case details in Case Management system.
- Manage Customer issues, escalating when appropriate.
- Escalation to management when requested by the Customer and when the handling of the case may require management involvement.
- Participation in weekly staff meetings.
- Production of knowledge base articles and documentation material.
- Some travel may be required (less than 25%) to accommodate Customer on-site visits when necessary.
- Collaborate with all other SolidFire Employees, when necessary, responding to their questions during the resolution of Customer cases and dispersing knowledge within the organization.
- Occasional training delivery duties may be required to address learning needs for new employees or internal/external Customers.
Requirements:
- BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a technical support organization providing technical support for complex applications running in a networked environment (preferably storage).
- The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge at the IT Administrator level related to storage, virtualization, or applications that require storage.
- Experience in one or more of the following is expected: Linux, IP networking, scripting (Python is preferred) and/or storage technologies (RAID, DAS, SAN, clustered storage).
- Ability and prior exposure in reading OS level logs, system logs, and proprietary application logs.
- Ability to read and understand programming code is a plus.
- Demonstrated exceptional customer management and communication
skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with one or more Case Management systems is a plus. - Positive attitude, willingness to be part of a team and help
establish process and workflows.

Senior Product Manager (Boulder, CO)
This externally facing product management role operates between customers, partners, and engineering. Successful candidates require strong technical skills coupled with a deep knowledge and appetite for the rapidly changing cloud ecosystem. Although this role has its roots on the technical side of the house it is largely a customer facing role that calls for strong product evangelism. Candidates should have excellent presentation skills yet be able to artfully listen and gather customer input on key product functionality.

- Gather and drive customer feedback and feature requirements back into product management and engineering

- Responsible for product pricing and positioning
- Assist in defining customer requirements on key product functionality

Requirements:
- 10 years selling experience with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding assigned quotas
- MUST have strong storage selling experience
- Proven track record of selling storage subsystems into cloud service providers
- Proven ability to understand how to navigate through complex buying coalitions
- Management experience preferred, but not required
- BS degree required, MBA a plus
- Frequent Travel, 60 - 80%
- Concrete understanding of consultative selling models and strategic selling models

SolidFire is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer who is passionate about developing innovative automated testing solutions for our state-of-the-art cloud storage solution. The candidate should be self-driven, with a strong background in Python programming and test automation frameworks. The primary responsibility of the candidate will be to work closely with both QA and Development teams to design and create a unified test automation framework that will be used across all levels of the R&D organization.
